Kings of lavinium & alba longa

I've got nothing on archaeological evidences, beyond the claims I've seen on Wikipedia, but I recently read Ursula K. Le Guin's novel Lavinia, which is set partially in Alba Longa and a lot which features the foundation of Lavinium. The Author's Note at the end of the book is kinda interesting, and I imagine that she researched for the book well enough. In the Note, she briefly touches on what she believes about the origins of the Romans and what Latium, Alba Longa, and Lavinium might actually have been like geographically and in terms of folk religion. I don't have the book anymore but if I can find an excerpt of the Note I'll send it to you (unless of course you've already been there & done that).
