Default Find Mine Too!!

Another thread recently put up about finding fairy tales was a great idea, so here is one my husband talks about quite a bit but can't remember the name of it. I guess his grandma used to read it to him when he was younger.

The story is of a boy named Jack (or something very similar) who goes on adventures with his magical knife or maybe a dagger. My husband thought the stories were called "Jack and the Knife" but an internet search yielded nothing.

Granted that there are quite a lot of Jack tales, there is also the point that fairy tales tend to have elements that differ from one person to the other too :\

Okay, that's a good point, Slashmire. For all I know maybe his granny made it all up and just pretended to read the book.

So maybe she made up a nice original story for him then? That is so sweet to think about!

Sweet yes, but doesn't help my fantasy of finding the printed story somewhere and presenting it to him as a gift. Oh, well....
